  • new cyanotype, from a 12 year old negative. This time the chemicals mixed a little better and the sun was blazing!

    One of the cyanotypes from yesterday. This one was made using an enlarged digital negative from the original negative. Exposed for around 15 minutes, developed with water and vinegar and then toned with strong tea.

    I found some ancient cyanotype chemicals lurking in a cupboard in my studio yesterday. The ferric ammonium citrate powder had become a goo but I mixed it up anyway. I’m using a mixture of plants and negatives, different types of papers and fabrics and some under glass, some just left as they are. It’s a wee bit overcast today as well, so this is all terribly hit-and-miss. All will be revealed later…
